Jilian Morton

Attorney and Founder

Jilian Morton built her practice with one goal in mind: protect families before crisis hits. She entered estate planning after seeing how quickly conflict, confusion, and court involvement can tear families apart when there is no clear plan. She wanted to create a law firm where clients feel informed, empowered, and confident about the future, no matter what life brings.

To Jilian, serving the community means showing up. She is active at workshops, local events, school programs, and fundraisers throughout Wareham and the South Coast. She believes legal guidance should be accessible and easy to understand and she takes pride in helping families protect what they have worked so hard to build.

On weekends, Jilian is happiest outdoors with her husband Jake and their children. Beach days, fishing trips, drives around the Cape, and new local discoveries are part of their routine. Time with her family reminds her why estate planning matters and fuels her commitment to helping other families prepare with the same level of care.

Her advice for anyone beginning their estate plan is simple: start sooner than you think. The best planning happens when life is calm, not during a crisis. Jilian encourages clients to work with someone who explains the purpose behind every decision so they can build real peace of mind rather than just signing a stack of documents.

With a warm, practical, and community-focusedf approach, Jilian is dedicated to guiding families with clarity and compassion at every stage of life.

Experience, Heart, and Community Connection

A graduate of Tabor Academy in Marion, Jilian went on to earn her undergraduate degree in Classics and Classical Civilizations from Colby College and her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School, where she focused on Labor & Employment Law.

She began her career handling labor relations and employment matters for the Massachusetts Port Authority and later practiced with boutique firms in real estate, business, and personal injury before founding her own practice in 2020.

She’s known for identifying red flags early and maintaining ongoing client relationships so every plan evolves as life does Jilian’s personal life mirrors many of the complexities her clients face.

Now remarried and part of a blended family, she understands firsthand the importance of thoughtful planning and clear communication between households.

Her close relationship with her own mother and stepfather—both actively involved in her children’s lives—has deepened her appreciation for the modern family dynamic and the need for estate plans that reflect those realities.

Starting her firm with two toddlers and a clear vision during the height of the pandemic, Jilian set out to create a practice rooted in relationships—not transactions.

Her approach blends legal precision with personal understanding, helping families and business owners protect what they’ve built and ensure their plans work when it matters most.

An active community leader, Jilian is a member of the Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber of Commerce and has been recognized among the Best of the South Coast 2025 for her firm’s community impact and client service.

From her Main Street office in Wareham, Jilian continues to make law local—helping families protect their legacies and bringing modern, heart-centered estate planning to the South Coast and beyond.
