Wendy Weston

Associate attorney

Wendy, with firsthand experience as both an estate planning and elder law attorney and a mother of two teenagers, she understands the complex and fast pace of life these days and the treasure and responsibility of family. Her passion is helping families across the South Coast, Cape, and Islands navigate life’s major transitions with clarity, confidence, and peace of mind. She empowers her clients to plan thoughtfully for their own care and leave a lasting legacy for the people they love, guided by empathy, creativity, and resilience every step of the way. She wants her clients to feel supported by their plan and to trust what it can do for them and their families as they age.

Because her practice is tightly focused on estate planning and elder law, Wendy is attuned to the specific scenarios, options, and worries local families face. She does not build rigid, static documents; she crafts agile plans designed to adjust as life happens. Resilience can be built right into planning through flexibility and a touch of foresight. Working together, she evaluates the evolving needs of each family, their health, and both the limits and untapped potential of their wealth as they grow older. She also stays continuously focused on fresh legal developments and emerging strategies, ensuring her clients’ plans remain forward-thinking and effective.

Wendy’s approach is grounded in real-world insight. Having witnessed firsthand the emotional strain and costly mistakes that can arise during estate administration, she brings a distinct preventative perspective to her practice. Her background as a MassHealth Medicaid Administrator—including successfully guiding clients to save their family homes—gives her a deep, practical understanding of complex long-term care rules. Combining this technical legal expertise with genuine compassion, she helps clients resolve immediate challenges while proactively safeguarding their assets and future.

Outside the office, Wendy enjoys boating with her husband, staying busy with her dogs, and helping her teens navigate high school and a new career. Like many families, her children are beginning to exercise their independence as her parents and in-laws are well into retirement, with the age-related health concerns that come with those years. Wendy uses the skills from her own life to help clients evaluate the types of support that will be needed for their families.

Wendy earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Massachusetts School of Law. Wendy moved to Wareham 20 years ago, and has since settled in Bourne by Monument Beach.

Estate planning is never one-size-fits-all. Whether working with an older adult planning ahead, an adult child advocating for a parent, or a family securing their legacy, Wendy listens carefully to each unique story to build a plan that truly reflects her clients’ values and goals.
